What motivates each of us is different; however, it is inspirational when we see ordinary people achieve the extraordinary. When faced with obstacles, our limitations are only as big as our imagination allows them to be. If we believe that we cannot succeed; then we will not. Many of us battle with the level of our strength which can result in feelings of failure. We often create doubts and disbeliefs about our power which reinforces and allows them to become a reality. Such statements are: “I’m not good enough,” “I can’t fight this illness,” That only works for others,” “Look at how fat I am; I am a total failure,” “It’s impossible,” and “I can’t do this.”
STOP!! We can choose Never to say Never again.
You are here today because you want to learn how to ‘OVERCOME OBSTACLES’ which can bring inspiration and self-confidence to you and your health.
If you have a small grasp of who you are, an understanding of your identity, your uniqueness, you are on the way to reclaiming your “true” self. Just learning to stop saying negative things is not enough to help you rediscover who you are. Finding your identity is discussed in-depth in our Health Keys section. However, positioning yourself to be in an environment where people want to share their most significant accomplishments and overcome any health conditions that plague them— that is one sure way to reboot your mindset towards prevention in healthcare.
We have collected stories from each person’s health journey and most significant accomplishments. These stories will share the most difficult mountains that people had to climb to allow them to stand proudly at the top. They surveyed the land from a comfortable vantage point; asked for help from others or God, and decided that it was time to continue to love life. They overcame medical conditions, personal struggles, harsh challenges, not merely because of medical science alone or extrinsic qualities. They succeeded because they learned and accepted themselves; they claimed their self. They embraced possibilities, stood up to uninvited failure, and walked a path of self-confidence. They created a standard of authenticity for themselves and expected those that followed to do the same. They chose to become extraordinary.
